GAT-X102: DUEL GUNDAM
The Duel Gundam was manufactured by the Earth Alliance, and stolen in episode 1 from a ZAFT raid on Heliopolis by Yzak Jule. It was said that Duel was a sort of base, and the other 4 units were based off of it and advanced upon, Duel itself being superb in close combat battle. After a fight with the Strike Gundam, Yzak gets injured, and Duel is upgraded with the Assault Shroud armor (read: the layout). Duel stays intact throughout the whole series and main consensus seems to think that after the war, since by the time Destiny came around the Mobile Suits were much more advanced, that Duel was either trashed or "retired".
